Experiment Results
16 people were invited over text. This were people from prior tea parties. This was done individually.
•
10 Said yes and showed up
•
5 wanted to, but explained why they couldn’t make it
•
1 didn’t respond
26 people were invited over Instagram. These were people from previous individual coffee meets events. This was done in a group chat
•
3 said yes and showed up
•
3 wanted to, but explained why they couldn’t make it
•
20 didn’t respond
Conclusion: Like in the last experiment, we find that people on Instagram usually do not show up to IRL events. This even if they personally sign up to meet with you, you buy them coffee, and you connect on Instagram! Continuing from the last experiment, we find that texting them works so much better.
Further questions: It remains to be seen if 1:1 messaging or 1:many messaging results in a higher % of people actually showing up to events.
Epilogue
